FOUNDER
Dr. Andy Garrett is a clinical psychologist with twenty years of practice, specializing in identity, resilience, and organizational performance under pressure. He has worked with hundreds of executives across mid-market and enterprise organizations, including SHRM, Patton's Steel, and Mariners Church.
Shaped by a firsthand masterclass in servant leadership from his grandfather, Carl Karcher, founder of Carl's Jr., Andy learned early that sustainable success requires more than strategy. It requires identity.
He earned his doctorate from Azusa Pacific University with a focus on systems theory, and built True North OS around a single insight: sustainable growth happens at the identity level. When individuals and organizations establish a clear True North, they develop the capacity to grow stronger through pressure instead of breaking under it, a foundation that compounds over time and touches every part of business and life.

Dr. Mike Patterson
Dr. Mike Patterson is a Principal at True North OS, partnering with executive leaders and teams to translate strategy into sustained performance. As an executive consultant and facilitator, he helps organizations align values, behavior, and execution to drive measurable results.
Mike brings a unique blend of experience across military leadership, corporate enterprise, and higher education. A former U.S. Army officer and senior corporate learning leader, he has worked with corporations, government agencies, and public-sector institutions to help leaders navigate complexity and lead with clarity under pressure.
Known for his practical and engaging facilitation style, Mike simplifies complex dynamics and creates environments where leaders can think clearly, act decisively, and drive meaningful change.
He holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Pepperdine University and has taught at the graduate and doctoral level. He is also co-author of Have a Nice Conflict and author of Mission First, People Always.

His upcoming book, The Guardians of Grit, explores resilience, grit, and the power of a True North identity. Guided by the belief that true success comes from revealing the riches within others, David is passionate about inspiring clarity, confidence, and purpose.x
